UPDATE on Summon Onsite Training for CLIC Libraries

CLIC is hosting onsite sessions of “Summon Web-Scale Discovery for CLIC” in April. Kevin Lane-Cummings, ProQuest Senior Training and Consulting Partner, will conduct the training sessions focusing on the public side of Summon. 

Topics covered will include:
-Introduction to Web-Scale Discovery and the creation of Summon.
-How Summon works (the Summon Index, your Summon site, match and merge, relevancy, and linking).
-Live demonstration of the user interface.
-How librarians can promote Summon to their users (examples of libraries' integration of Summon into their web sites).
-Additional Resources (help, support documents, etc.).

“Summon Web-Scale Discovery for CLIC” will be repeated at four locations:
Monday, April 7, 1pm-3pm, Augsburg College, Room: Oren Gateway 100
Tuesday, April 8, 9am-11am, University of Northwestern-St. Paul, Room BG205
Tuesday, April 8, 1pm-3pm, St. Catherine University, Room: CDC20
Wednesday, April 9, 9am-11am, Hamline University, Room: Anderson Center 305

If you are unable to attend any of the onsite sessions, there will be a webinar session scheduled later in April.  The webinar session will be recorded and available for viewing by CLIC library staff. [UPDATE: the webinar will be held on Thursday, April 17, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Please check with your Implementation Team rep or the CLIC Office for log-in information.]
