Implementation Team Update - ERM Training

Last week, the Implementation Team met with ProQuest trainers Scott Shull and Donna Boecker to learn about Intota ERM.

During the two-day training sessions, staff from CLIC libraries also had a chance to share enhancement requests and other concerns with the trainers. Later this week, the Implementation Team and CLIC Board will meet with ProQuest management for updates on Intota product development and enhancements.

Register now for EResources’ free workshop on licensing, Feb 15

The ElectronicResources COI invites staff from CLIC libraries to attend our free, hands-on workshop: Licensing Electronic Resources.  The workshop will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is required.  To register, please email Maureen Fitzgerald at Maureen.fitzgerald@clic.edu before Thursday, January 31.

Workshop Description: This basic workshop is designed for library staff who negotiate licenses and who want to learn more about the legal background of license terms for electronic resources. This workshop would also be beneficial to library staff (reference or ILL) who do not negotiate with vendors but who work with the electronic resources and need to know about license terms for those resources. The workshop addresses the basic concepts of contract law (licenses as contracts) and offers a hands-on look at the components of a standard licensing agreement.  Instructor: Ruth Dukelow

Location is TBA, based on number of registrants. Information on the workshop location and other details will be emailed in early February to those who have pre-registered.

Please feel free to contact Maureen or Ruth if you have any questions.
