Jack
King, retired University Librarian for Bush Library and Professor at Hamline University, passed away
on April 16, 2014. Jack came to Hamline in 1965 as a catalog
librarian with the rank of instructor. He retired from Hamline University in
1997, after 32 years of service, with the rank of Professor and as University
Librarian for Bush Library. He remained a supporter of library initiatives at
Hamline and was a frequent user of the library collection.
Jack served
as President of the CLIC Board of Directors first in 1974, and then again in
1983-84 and 1990-91, followed by a term as treasurer in 1995-1997.
Visitation
will be held from 10-11 am on Wednesday, April 23,
followed by a service at 11 am at
O'Halloran and Murphy funeral home at 575 S. Snelling, St. Paul. See the April 20 Pioneer Press for the full notice.
